Veqtari
Safety and privacy

Safe by design

Schools should ask hard questions of any AI product. Here are our answers. Veqtari is in its pilot stage, and we will publish our full policies and our self-assessment against recognised safety standards before launch.

Students' data

  • No Veqtari tool needs students' names or personal details.
  • Uploads are checked for names before they are sent, and you are warned.
  • Cover logs are filled in on paper, for the class teacher only.

Accuracy

  • Mathematics answers that can be calculated are worked out by a calculator engine, independently of the AI.
  • History dates are checked against a reviewed facts table; real sources come from a checked library and their words are never typed by the AI; invented quotations are refused.
  • Geography map answers are worked out from the map itself, and every graph names its data source.
  • Anything that fails is fixed or taken out, and each resource lists what still needs a teacher's eye.

Recognised standards

We are designing Veqtari to recognised safety and data-protection standards, including UK GDPR and the UK Department for Education's Generative AI: product safety standards (updated January 2026), which Keeping Children Safe in Education 2026 refers schools in England to. Our self-assessment will be published here before launch.

Your data

  • We plan to store school data in the UK, and to give every school a data processing agreement.
  • We use AI providers whose terms do not allow school data to be used to train their models.
  • Schools keep what they make with Veqtari.
